NEET Counselling 2018: First round from June 13; Find detailed information here

For all those who had appeared in NEET and had been waiting, the long wait is now finally about to get over. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the counselling schedule for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – NEET UG 2018 on its official website – mcc.nic.in.

The cut-off marks for each category is given as under:

  • For General category – Candidates who have scored at least of 50 percentile
  • For General (Physically Handicapped) – Candidates who have scored at least of 45 percentile
  • For SC/ST/OBC – Candidates who have scored at least of 40 percentile

As per the information on the official website of MCC, this first round of six-day counselling process will take place from 13th June to 18th June, 2018 for 15% all India quota (AIQ).The second round counselling process for three-days will be scheduled from 6thJuly to 8th July 2018.

For the first round of counselling, facility to make the payments will be available till 19thJune up to 12:00 noon however for the second round of counselling, it shall be available till 9thJuly up to 12:00 noon.

The candidates are free to fill and decide their preference, for the first round of counselling, starting 19thJune and timings for the same would be from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The process of seat allotment shall be completed on 20th and 21stJune 2018. The outcomes for the first round of counselling shall be announced on 22ndJune, 2018 and thenthe students can report to their respective allotted colleges from 23rdJune to 3rd July, 2018.

For the second round of counselling, Registration, Choice Filling and Payment shall be scheduled from 6th July 2018 to 8th July 2018 and payments can be processed till 12 PM of 9th July 2018. Seat Allocation would be done from 10th to 11th July 2018 and result will be declared on 12th July 2018. And then the students can report to their respective allotted colleges from 13th July 2018 to 22ndJuly, 2018.

After the second round of counselling, there will be a mop-up round organized by MCC starting 10th August, 2018.

There are approximately 60,000 seats and the candidates shall be called for admissions as per the merit list or their All India Rank (AIR).

As a matter of fact, as per the results announced by MCC for the NEET 2018 on the 4th June 2018, approximately 7.14 lakh candidates have crossed the cut-off milestone as was set by the Central Board of Secondary Education which happens to be the conducting authority of the exam. This test was scheduled on 6th May.
