NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination and as per a recent notification, the exam will be conducted twice every year from 2019 onwards. NEET Online Registration
NEET Online Registration is set to start in October 2018 and the students need to register before the last date of form submission. In terms of the schedule, the registration dates could be between 1 October 2018 and 31 October 2018. So if you wish to appear in the February attempt then you need to register in October
But, if you are willing to appear in the may attempt then the registration dates would be in May. You would have to wait till March to register for the exam. The last date for the registration for the May attempt would be somewhere in mid of March.
You might not be aware of this fact but the exam is usually held in 8 sittings. The student gets the independence to choose between these sittings.
NEET Exam Dates
As per the information available, the exam will be once held in February and the second exam will help in May.If you need a precise idea about the dates then we can tell you that the dates would range between 03 February 2019 and 17 February 2019 for the first exam. For the second exam, the dates for the exam would be between 12 May 2019 and 26 May 2019.
With the increasing competition, you need to prepare really well for the exam. You may take up coaching classes as well but talking about the syllabus, the questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry,and Biology. Moreover, the syllabus is from the NCERT Textbooks of Class 11th and Class 12th.
In total, there 180 questions in the exam and you get 3 hours / 180 minutes to complete the examination. There are 90 question from Biology and there 45 questions each from Physics and Chemistry. As per the information available, there is no section cut off from now onwards but the rule may change.
You need to be careful with your answers as the exam also has negative marking. The questions are all MCQ types and hence choose the right option carefully.
If you are wondering about the result of the examination then it must be noted that the results of the exams are announced almost after a month of the examination date. This means that if you appear in the February attempt then the results will be announced in the second week of March and if you appear in the May attempt then the result will be announced in the first week of June.
